Bachelor life...you know you miss it!

California life

So Brian and I lived the easy life this summer. We had no microwave, and only one sauce pan that we used to boil water for our Cup o' Noodles. Here are a few pictures of our "Home." Don't worry I keep my house in much better condition!

" The" Garbage bag. I used one to bag move some laundry to California this summer, and that bag became the garbage bag. However when it got full we just took it out to the dumpster emptied it and brought it back in. Unfortunately on the last trip out this summer it tore a bit. May the good bag rest in peace.

This is where Brian and I spent our time in the apartment. We weren't home most of the time during the day, so we never really turned the AC on because it was so cool at night. However at times it did get a bit hot and we would sprint out, dive in the pool and run back in.

Here Alicia is pretending to drink a mountain dew. The important part is the giant stack of cans which I eventually recycled. There will be a later post with our "canning" adventures.

People used to sneak over and mess up our house. Fortunately Brian and I are neat freaks, so we would immediately clean the house when people left it looking like this!

You can't say Brian and I didn't put our scouting to good use. When we got there, we didn't have a shower curtain obviously so we went to the dollar store(where else would you even go for these things). Anyway I asked where their shower curtains were and they said they didn't have any, all they had were table cloths. At the time I thought why would you even mention table cloths in the same sentence as shower curtains? Anyway as I looked at them an idea came to mind and I asked Brian to pick a color. He chose peach obviously and the above creation took place.

I must admit that I don't relish living like this ever again! But it was exciting for a summer. These pictures also show how great a friend Alicia is because I don't think many other people would enter that apartment! In fact I am slighty embarassed she did!

Nice...I love the shower curtain story because only a true dollar store associate would be able to direct you to table cloths in the absence of a shower curtain.
