Charity Ball (Law School Prom)

So for end of the year Social, we went down to an expensive
golf course and had our Charity Ball.
I went down with some good buddies.  Here is Me, Tyler, and Ryan.
Tyler and Tyler
The view from our room.  This place was amazing!  And it was all for golf lol!
Now here were some of the girls that made the drive with us.
Or actually it was just Kristen, and we met up with Caroline down at the hotel.

Everyone looked great.  Here are several pictures of lots of my different friends
I have met at Florida Coastal School of Law.
Chantal Pillay and her fiance Beau.
Chris Basler, our SBA President, and my good friend Ashley Decker.
Here is Ian Brown, quite possibly the funniest person I have met in Florida (who is also from Idaho),
his wife Aubrey, Me, Holly Bayham, and Caitlin Milo!
Jennie Simons and I.
Since then we have now been grouped as Mock Trial Partners!
My Good friend Jessica Brown and I.
And apparently I was having tie issues.
Jessica Sexton, Our Vice president and me.
Matt Roepstorff, and Bingbong.
Here are two of my favorite people I have met in Florida,
Tom and Erin.  Tom helps me get through the complicated material in class,
and Erin is always planning some fun sports activity for us to attend!
Here are Malley and Bingbong singing to end the party.  Nothing is dull with them around.
The guy on the left was actually my teacher's assistant for my writing and research class, Patrick Sullivan.

So a little peek into one of my days outside of the library!
There are some Fun and exciting days in Law School!

Catching Up Installment # 1

So I am way behind as usual on this and things will doubtfully ever get better, but....better late than never right!

So here are a few pictures form the tail end of my Christmas break!

Addy was showing me her how she makes her hair
so pretty by sleeping with socks in her hair!
My beautiful Mother and I.
We went to pick Up Rochelle's Mom and her dog.  I like to think the kids are excited
to see me, but the dog may have me beat!
Also I am not sure how you moms do it.  Taking children into public is quite the adventure.
I think I ran around our table 15 times chasing kids.
Here are Addison and Ry with some of their
cousins and the Red Robin Bird.

Then we met up with Trevor and Carson for his Cub Scout meeting.
Ry was running all over the place, and I have to admit it was a LONG meeting,
so I completely understood his need to let some energy out.
Rylan and I made quite the ruckus and I believe the meeting was about being obedient
and having good manners.  Not my strong suit, so I helped Ry where I could!

I had such a good time with Rylan.  And he is so fun to get out of his crib after a nap.
You ask him if he needs a treat, and he says, "yeah I need a treat" in the cutest voice.
Oddly he is not quite as cute when it is time to go down for his nap.

Somehow I didn't manage to get any good pictures of Rochelle and Carson, but I will be
resolving that problem at the family reunion, so both of you be ready!

Grandma and Grandpa Pettingill

I was so glad I got to spend a day with my Grandparents Pettingill.

Grandma's beautiful christmas tree.

Grandpa made his famous pancakes, and Grandma
made my favorite eggs and bacon.

I sure love these guys.  We had a great day chatting and catching up.

Three generations of Pettingills.

Bring on the Break! First stop, the Pattersons!

So finals were very overwhelming but I survived and got to start my 34 day break!

Fist stop. Salt Lake City, with the Pattersons! Mindy came and picked me up and brought Kai! He was a little shy at first but warmed up pretty quickly,

Kai and I had a great time together, and he is such a happy kid!

He was always smiling!

Kai was really excited about going to sleep.

In the morning, Mindy took me to Kinder Music with Kai.

Kai Sure loves his Mom!

Kai and I had a great time sliding him around the room.

I almost missed my picture with BIG D.

We had to go to his work and get a quick photo so I could get one with him.

The Classy* Winter Social/ Jenn Singh's Party

My good friend Jenn had me come over to meet her father who was visiting,

and enjoy some great cooking.

Here is Jenn and Jessie and Jenn's Father.

Jessie and Holly

After the dinner party, Holly and I headed towards the beach to attend our semi formal winter social. Holly and I went in a "classy theme" obviously*. Our social was held in a sweet location right between a dollar tree and some all night gym...Classy. And Here Holly and I are pictured with the awesome lights, that look like candles, and yes even flickered.

On the left is Stefano, the middle is our SBA president Chris Basler, and myself

I left my camera on the table, and when I came back Holly had taken pictures of herself and her best friends from her section.

Here are a couple of my friends. Beth is on the right and then Meagan is right next to her. Meagan is a professional thug doing a documentary on how New Jersey Gangsters integrate into law school life. Also the girl on the left is not kneeling down for the picture. (in case you wondered)

One last Classy Picture. Holly was hilarious and saved me from

an enjoyable night with my books...

I know all I post is pictures of me doing things other than studying, but I swear that is the norm!

Also another one of my favorite examples of classy...

The Best Mentor EVER!!

First of all a BIG thanks to my friend Jessie for introducing me to Jessica! I met her at Jessie's B-day party. Technically that was the second time we met. Here are Jenn Singh, Jessie Ward, and Jessica Edgell!

I believe this might be the the first time we met. Unfortunately she did have to introduce herself to me 3 times before it sunk in. I know, how disappointing!

She took me out on a "date" that her husband graciously allowed because we missed the Mentor/mentee social. She had mad important plans that night...something about an anniversary.

Jessica Posing for a picture!
Here she is as maverick at Halloween!

Jessica has been so helpful and encouraging! I am so thankful she happened to be walking by when I was filling out my application for a mentor and I was able to twist her arm into being mine!

Good Times at law school

When Midterms were over, everyone was ready for a break.

We all met up at Wild Wings to celebrate.

I have also been to several birthday parties.

Here we had a surprise party at D & Bs, which is like a

Chucky cheese for grown-ups.

Here Tom, Cody and Myself were playing some pirate cannon shooting game.

Cody and I are extremely focused, tom was able to multitask,

but I am not sure who is steering the ship.

Halloween was also a lot of fun! These are my friends Jessica, Jenn, Jessie, and Jashley.

(actually just Ashley, but it seemed like it should start with a j as well)

There are also several clubs at Florida Coastal. Here we were attending

an Italian dinner that was a lot of fun.

Also, as I am sure is no surprise, I am playing on a Volleyball League.

It is a great stress relief each week. So far we are 3-0. Unfortunately the playoffs are during

so that will probably not work real well for our team since we are all dedicated law school students! (Holly, Caitlin, Bruno, Stefano, Adam, Jessie, and myself)

This is Ashley and I. She is one of my best friends here,

and quite possibly one of the most dedicated sports fans I have ever met!

Other than her poor taste in Baseball teams (The Yankees), she is great!

Two more great friends! Bruno is from Brasil, and was the first friend

I made at FCSL. He introduced me to Jessie, who is a 3rd year law student, and she

graciously mingles with us lowly 1ls.

One last photo. Here are Tom and Erin. These two are so much fun and always make me laugh. Tom graciously listens to my never ending rants about Boise State, and Erin was kind enough to make me her number 1 back up plan. Actually I earned it in a arm wrestling match vs Dennis.

So far I am really enjoying law school. The education is exciting and challenging and the people are great. I wish I was closer to family back west, but the people here have made Florida a great place to live!

Fun In the Sun!

So I know I have menitoned that I study a lot,
but there has definitley been some realzxing occassionaly.

I have met some amazing people here at school!
One of them is my good friend Amber!
we have made it to the beach as much as possible!

My good friend "Counselor" Tom Mangan took me surfing, which is challenging to say the least. Somehow I didn't get a picture of him on this trip
